“When I was first asked to join the Home Builders Association I couldn't understand why I would want to meet with my competitors. Now, having joined, I realize that the other HBA members are not my competitors. They deal with the same issues and problems I face everyday. Government over regulation, fly-by-night contractors, taxes, insurance and employee issues are just a few. Now those same competitors are my friends, people I rely on when I need advice or just need someone I can talk to who understands what I may be going through at a particular time.

It's nice to know you're not in this all by yourself. Having the Association behind me is a great benefit, they can fight battles which I could never fight myself. They support me and the industry that provides me with my livelihood, that's why I support the HBA with my time and my money. I can't imagine what this industry would look like with out the HBA.
